About Santosh Kumar

I’m a backend and distributed-systems engineer specializing in reliable execution platforms, enterprise data integration, and cloud and customer-managed runtimes.

I’m currently a Member of Technical Staff in Salesforce / Informatica Data Integration R&D. My career has progressed from healthcare software at Cerner to enterprise data integration at Informatica and distributed execution infrastructure.

How I approach engineering

My focus is on the boundaries that shape a system: execution and state, connectivity and coordination, failure and recovery. I’m interested in the tradeoffs that make platforms dependable through upgrades and operational uncertainty.

This site is a home for technical writing and public-safe engineering case studies. The recurring themes are distributed systems, data infrastructure, reliability, and grounded AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Background

I earned an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2016, following a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications in 2013.
